two small kittens can fit INSIDE a front wheel of a PT Cruiser?

They can.


The momma cat that has adopted us- she keeps having kittens. And then, when they are big enough she brings them up to the house. ((yeah.yeah. 'cause that's where the food is.*sheesh*))
These two are about the fit-inside-the-palm-of-your-hand size. Up and walking about, but still a little wobbly. And terrified of anything over cat-sized that moves.

So, this morning when we were getting ready to leave, I must have scared the bejeeses out of them and so they ran and hid. IN THE WHEEL! Took some work to get them out.
But now they are safe and sound. And I'm just really paranoid about backing Ianto out.

...Have I mentioned that I named my car Ianto?
I blame vamprayne .

But if it wasn't for her suggestion, he would have been PopTart. That's what I was refering to him before deciding on a name.

Autofreakingmatic door locks!

Day 1: Learning experience 1: Doors may lock automatically. How 'bout that?

Went to talk to Mom and bring her some "Thinking of you" flowers after her surgery on her heart- that I didn't know about till AFTER. AGAIN.
Anyhoo..she's doing fine. She was out checking out my car, I was showing her all the goodies....had the key in the ignition...turned to tell her "Bye" and give her a hug....door shuts.....oh. noes.
Yes. That's right. I managed to lock my keys (the other was in my purse...in the backseat) in my car the very first full day I have it. That's gotta be a record.
I freak out. She's all "Don't worry. I'll call Dad."
Yep.
All the anti-theft hubub? Dad has the car open in about 5 minutes...useing a coat hanger.
*shakes head*

How bad is it?
I *wanted* the black Trailblazer that I test drove earlier in the week. WANTED it- because it was so pretty and black and shiny...and I wanted to vinyl "TORCHWOOD" in black on the hood. 'Cause that would have looked so cool!

It's a good thing that sanity and common sense won out over the power of fangirl.






(ok I just had to re-correct that last sentence 3 times...and I'm still not sure it's right. so tired. bed, now.)

So. I've been thinking about getting a new vehicle. Poor Blue is just at a death rattle. I love my truck. I really do. But, I think I need something a little better.
We were having a slow day Friday, (which sucks, really.) so when Diane and I go to lunch I suggest that we run by the Chevy place and test drive an HHR. Earlier in the week we had gone for a test drive in a 02 Trailblazer. It's Test Drive at Lunch week!

We get there, the sales guy is hilarious, I drive and love the new 08 HHR. But. Daaaaang! It comes with all kinds of bells and whistles that I would never use, and sure didn't want to pay for. SO I tell him what I've always wanted- since the very first one I saw- was a PT Cruiser. Being the typical sales guy, he's all---"Well, here drive this one while I run some figures for you on the HHR."
Dude. I know the game you're playin'. It's the last week of the month. It's crunch time. You gotta keep me on the lot while you come up with some pretty figures. But, hey, we had time to kill. So I hop in the 07 PT Cruiser and away we go.
Soooooooooooooo much fun to drive! And I liked the dash layout better. And it was $5000.00 less that the HHR he was number crunching for me. 5 grand!

We get back to the lot. I get out of the car, somewhat hypnotized by the shiny chrome accents, and say "I want it."

OMG!! I bought a car on my lunch break!!!!

I'm still trying to get over the fact that I did that. It seduced me, it did! I couldn't help myself.
