Kitty #falling leaves
My little kitty is such a goofball. I've been trying to copy recipes from whatever scraps of paper that Gramma has jotted them down on- to recipe cards.
I don't know if Jayne just is firmly against me doing this, or if he just wants a cuddle.
He would sit down on whatever I was reading. I would move it. He would lay across my notecards. I would move him. He would stretch back across the old recipes. I actually moved my paperwork around him and was leaning over the cat to write in the middle of the table. Nothing doing. He wanted to be ON the paper. LOL! Such a silly kitty.

I did come across one of my *favorite* desserts. Four layer delight. YUM! Which I will be making a trip to the Piggly Wiggly here in just a few minutes to get the ingrediants so I can make it tonight.

**snifffffugh* Fighting through what is either an ATTACK of sinuses, or maybe a summer cold. I feel thoroughly yucky. ((but so bad as to pass up chocolatey, cream cheesey goodness!))

And later tonight, if I'm not taken completely out by my sniffling, sneezing and runny-nose- I plan to clean out my closet. I've been shoving stuff in there since I moved in here. Mostly to get it out of the way. Time to go through it.

Exciting weekend, huh?! :)

shhhhhhhhh. I's sleeping...

I <3 my PT
yeah. On my keyboard. Am SO tired. I was talked into going to the Med. Faire after all. It was fun. I had a good time. And I learned a few things.
#1. I GOTTA start walking for exercise again. I am so, completely out of shape...Walking around the Faire was fine...It was the 40 mile hike from the parking lot that just about did me in!
#2 Pale skin does not tan--it skips straight to burn. (which really, I already knew. But I was reminded.
#3 blueberry margaritas= Ummmmmmmmmm.Good!
#4 The next toy I'm saving up for is one of these: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000NVZE5M/?m=ATVPDKIKX0DER
Omigosh, SO helpful in Oklahoma City! Just *how* helpful, you ask? **I** drove home, and didn't get us lost- not even once! Freakin' awsome!
#5 I love my PT! First road trip- YAY!

We didn't get home till 12:30 this morning. Then I had to get up early and take Jayne to the vet before work.
His knee is....not bad enough for surgery (yet) YAY!! The Dr. said it was about a 2...and 1/2. And to bring him back in about 4 months.
Good kitty.

Mm'k. G'nite.

second best ketteh toy evah!

My checkbook is having a bad case of fidgets. Omigosh! Made my way to the Tag Office today to trade in my "Newbie Car Owner" paper tag for a real honest to goodness "This Owns My Next Six Years" metal tag. Everyone I talk to says that I got a heckofa good deal. Which, really, I guess I did- but writing out a check for $495.50 for a thin piece of metal? Ouch.

THEN:

The vet tech called and gave me an estimate for Jayne having surgery on his knee.
$882.00

Hello.

My reply was "So....Cage rest was another way to go, huh? The limp will give him character."

I love my kitty. But. Damn! I don't have that kind of money. So, I'm considering doing "cage rest" to keep him form running and jumping and flying around the house like a mad cat. *sigh* But he's young. So, maybe if I do it now, it will keep him from having a big problem later in life.
Just. Ugh. Being stuck in a cage all day.....

I have an appointment next friday for a consult with the vet so he can determine what grade the condition is at, and what he suggests.

Poor Jayne. His limp is pretty persistant, but other than that it doesn't seem to slow him down at all.

Took Jayne to the vet today to have his boy bits snipped. He made it through that with flying colors. The vet tech said that he was a "very good, mellow kitty."

The bad? I mentioned that he had a funny limp occasionally, and so they checked him out while he was still drugged. He was diagnosed with "Patella Luxation" which means his knee cap slides out of place from time to time. They sort-of suggested surgery, but they are going to call me tomorrow with more info, because they were having a crazy day at the office.

Surgery? Eeeeesh. (on several different levels)

[info]fuzipenguin any thoughts? Anyone else? She said this was more common in dogs, and really pretty rare in cats. :(

ok. I'm not ever sure where I found this. I'm just clicking randomly...Stressful day leads to a big lack of concentration. Plus, I can't get too involved with anything because I have to keep an eye on Jayne.
No eating or drinking after 8:00. Tomorrow morning he gets a trip to the vet. He's about six months now, so it's time to be neutered. I know I shouldn't be, but I'm worried. Well, not so much worried about the procedure...just hate to take him to have it done. I haven't left him at the vet before. I'm sure this is just the regular issues of a fuzzy parent. Right?

Anyway. Found this editing gem. Hi-Larious.

Enjoy.

Bwahahahhah*hee!*

The Ex came over tonight and brought some of my mail.

Jayne? Does. Not. Like.

LOL!

He hid behind the recliner and resisted every attempt that he made to be friendly.
And Jayne isn't like that with strangers...he's usually really friendly.

*snicker*

In order of stranger things I've said today-- Just now shouting, "Jayne! Don't eat the rosebush!"-
kind of wins.

I just found out that Jayne likes Apples 'n' Cinnamon oatmeal. He kept trying to get into my bowl, so I ploped some into a saucer for him. The funny thing is, instead of putting his head down and eating ....like a kitty, he scooped it up with a paw and licked each bite off.
Weird cat.

Oh! I was wondering does anyone on my Flist do, or know someone who does, sparkley or glittery FX on icons? I don't have the program or the talent, but I *really* want some sparklies on my PT icon:
